# Cancún Events

Cancún Events is a free directory of events in Cancún, the Riviera Maya, Tulum and the islands (AI/tech, dance, music, arts, fitness, community) at https://cancun.whatsupin.ai

- Data file (all upcoming events, CC BY 4.0): https://cancun.whatsupin.ai/data/events.json
- MCP endpoint (read-only, POST JSON-RPC): https://cancun.whatsupin.ai/mcp
- Location search (search_events, list_upcoming): neighborhood = events in a neighborhood or town by name; near = events within radius_km of a neighborhood, town, venue name or "lat, lon" (results carry distance_km). Events at unmapped venues can't be placed; the response's place.unplaced_events counts them
